Kelly Macdonald — Biography

Hailing from Scotland, Kelly Macdonald has carved a distinguished career as an actress across both cinema and television. Her impressive body of work has been recognized with numerous honors, including a BAFTA Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards. Macdonald first graced the silver screen in Danny Boyle's iconic film Trainspotting, released in 1996. Her subsequent filmography features acclaimed performances in a range of notable pictures such as Elizabeth (1998), Gosford Park (2001), Intermission (2003), and Nanny McPhee (2005). She earned a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her contribution to the Coen brothers' celebrated film No Country for Old Men in 2007. Further cinematic ventures include appearances in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011), Anna Karenina (2012), T2 Trainspotting (2017), and Operation Mincemeat (2021).
