Krista Allen — Biography

Krista Allen entered the world on April 5, 1971, in Ventura, California. She spent her formative years in Texas after her parents' separation, each remarrying subsequently. She had an older sibling. At fourteen years old, Allen departed from home and stayed with acquaintances for approximately two years, later describing her household during that period as lacking organization. During her teenage years, she participated in beauty pageants and secured modeling work for Budweiser across billboards, promotional materials, and calendars. She also represented World Gym as a spokesmodel and worked as an aerobics instructor before relocating to Los Angeles.

Allen did not initially pursue acting as a career goal but encountered a manager who facilitated her entry into the field. Throughout the 1990s, she appeared in the Emmanuelle in Space series starting in 1994, made television appearances including three episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful in 1995, and guest starred on various programs. She secured the role of Billie Reed on the NBC soap Days of Our Lives beginning September 6, 1996, succeeding Lisa Rinna. A notable moment came in the 1997 film Liar Liar, where she briefly appeared opposite Jim Carrey. Her contract with Days of Our Lives concluded November 5, 1999.

During the 2000s, Allen joined Baywatch Hawaii as Jenna Avid from 2000 to 2001 and maintained recurring roles on shows including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She appeared in numerous films such as Anger Management and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Between 2006 and 2007, she had a recurring part on ABC's What About Brian. She earned recognition in Maxim magazine, ranking seventy on their 2005 Hot 100 list.

Allen pursued education beginning in 2017, obtaining her GED before attending college to study neuroscience and epigenetics. She became a licensed therapist specializing in complex trauma and addiction recovery, an epigenetics coach, and an integration coach for entheogenic medicine.

Beyond acting, Allen maintained activism focused on veganism, animal welfare, human trafficking prevention, and bullying awareness through her work with R.I.S.E. & Stand. She founded a T-shirt company called Superexcellent, performed stand-up comedy, worked as a comedy writer for Netflix and HBO, and hosted the podcast "I'm Fine" with Krista Allen from 2017 to 2018.

Allen returned to daytime television in December 2021, assuming the role of Taylor Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful, a part previously held by Hunter Tylo. She received a Daytime Emmy nomination in April 2023 for Outstanding Supporting
