Laura Young — Biography

Laura Young (May 22, 1938 – November 27, 1999) was a renowned American adult model. She gained recognition as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the October 1962 edition. Her centerfold was captured by photographer Pompeo Posar, marking his debut as a Playmate photographer, although Jan Roberts, his second subject, appeared in print before her. Young quickly became a well-liked Playmate and was among the finalists for the Playmate of the Year title that year, which ultimately went to June Cochran. Prior to her modeling career, Laura held various positions including secretary, telephone operator, and nurses' aide. Additionally, she had a passion for golf. Laura Young passed away from cancer on November 27, 1999.
