Laurie Wood — Biography

Laurie Jo Wood was born on June 23, 1967, in Orange, California. She is known as an American nude model and actress who gained fame when she was selected as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for March 1989. In her pictorial, Laurie mentioned that her decision to pose was a special gift for her husband. After her initial feature, it is believed she did not pose for Playboy again, with subsequent appearances only showcasing outtakes from her sessions in 1988 and 1989. Raised in Sparks, Nevada, Laurie graduated from Sparks High School in 1985. She chose to appear nude in the magazine as a surprising birthday gift for her husband, Jeff. According to her Playboy profile, she was a virgin at the time of her marriage to her former Coast Guard yeoman husband. Laurie also appeared in several Playboy videos before eventually stepping away from the limelight.
