Lydia Pirelli entered the adult film industry on her 21st birthday, participating in a range of both softcore and hardcore productions. Her work earned her the Venus Award for Best Newcomer in 1998. However, she gained recognition primarily through her groundbreaking Monday show Alles auf Rot(licht) on 9Live, where she made history as the first presenter in Germany to appear fully nude. Following protests that led to the cancellation of the show, she remained bound to her contract with 9Live, using this time to perform in various clubs and nightclubs while also producing her debut DVD, Latex Fantasy. During this period, the Frankfurt-born star made several appearances on TV TOTAL, earning the "Raab of the Week" title on two occasions.

Starting in August 2004, she shifted her focus to her hour-long television program, SEXY NIGHT, which aired on multiple local channels across Germany. By the end of 2004, she began marketing her images via MMS and began offering short video clips for mobile phones in May 2005. In February 2005, she took on the role of "Burgfräulein" in the medieval fortress show Die Burg on ProSieben. From July 20, 2006, until November of that year, she co-hosted on 9Live alongside Biggi Bardot and Jana Bach on a revamped version of her original show, Alles auf Rot(licht).

In November 2007, she began working with ATV, where she hosted the Hot Movie Night. Her participation in wg-der-lust.de in 2009 was showcased in segments during the nighttime programming of the Hessian private station Rheinmaintv. Following a settlement with the Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli, she could no longer use the name "Lydia Pirelli," and thereafter, she has been known as "Hot-Lydia."
