Margarita Drobiazko — Biography
Margarita Drobiazko, born on December 21, 1971, is a celebrated figure in Lithuanian figure skating, specifically in the discipline of ice dancing. Her competitive journey representing Lithuania commenced in 1992 when she formed a partnership with Povilas Vanagas. Together, this notable duo achieved significant milestones, including a bronze medal at the 2000 World Championships. They also secured bronze on three occasions at the Grand Prix Final and earned two European bronze medals, in 2000 and again in 2006. Drobiazko and Vanagas also claimed the title at Skate Canada in 1999. Their impressive career saw them participate in five Winter Olympic Games, with their highest placement being fifth.
