Maria Checa, originally from Bogotá, Colombia, later moved to Florida with her family during her childhood. She made a significant mark in the modeling world by appearing on 21 magazine covers and in 21 photosets before retiring in 2010. Recognized as Playboy Playmate of the Month for August 1994, her iconic centerfold was captured by photographer Richard Fegley. Apart from her modeling career, Checa is also a talented artist who studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and graduated from The New World School of the Arts in Miami.
