Maria McBane — Biography

Maria McBane is a model and actress of Spanish-American descent, recognized as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for May 1965. Her iconic centerfold was captured through the lens of photographers Ed DeLong and William Figge. Raised in both Spain and Cuba, Maria later relocated to the United States as an adult. She featured in the film Fireball 500 released in 1966, where she portrayed the character "Leander Fan," credited in the movie as Marie McBane. Currently residing in Hawaii, Maria was reportedly contemplating a bid for the Hawaii legislature as of 1996, a decision influenced partially by the loss of her and her husband's restaurant due to a drawn-out land dispute. Today, she works as a real estate agent in Hawaii, using her married name, Maria Paco.
