Sobre Milla Jovovich
Milica Bogdanovna Jovović, better known as Milla Jovovich, is an American actress, musician, and former fashion model. Her prominent performances in a wide array of science-fiction and action films earned her the title of "reigning queen of kick-butt" from the music network VH1 in 2006. In 2004, Forbes revealed that she topped the list of the highest-paid models globally. Her modeling career kicked off in 1987 when Herb Ritts captured her image for the cover of the Italian magazine Lei. She later appeared in Revlon's "Most Unforgettable Women in the World" campaign, photographed by Richard Avedon.
Jovovich made her acting debut in 1988 with the television film The Night Train to Kathmandu, and her first feature film appearance followed in Two Moon Junction. She gained significant attention for her role in the 1991 romantic film Return to the Blue Lagoon. Her career took off with her performance in the 1997 French science-fiction action film The Fifth Element, which was both written and directed by Luc Besson. She and Besson married in that same year, but the marriage ended shortly thereafter. Her portrayal of Joan of Arc in Besson's The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) further established her acting credentials.
From 2002 to 2016, Jovovich starred as Alice in the Resident Evil film franchise, which became the most successful film series adapted from video games. In addition to acting, she launched her music career with her debut album, The Divine Comedy, in 1994, and followed it with The People Tree Sessions in 1998. She continues to share demos of her new music on her official website and often contributes to soundtracks for films. In 2003, she teamed up with model Carmen Hawk to create the clothing line Jovovich–Hawk, which operated until 2008. Milla Jovovich has Russian and Serbian heritage.
