She ventured into the entertainment world at the age of 18 when she began her modeling career. Her work quickly transitioned from print advertisements to commercials for notable brands such as Mercedes Benz, Sprint Canada, and during the Olympics. Hollywood soon took notice of her talent. Missy made her first guest appearance on the action-drama series Dark Angel in 2000, acting alongside Jessica Alba. She continued to build her resume with a role as Julia on the critically acclaimed cable series The Chris Isaak Show in 2001. Another audition led her to secure the coveted part of Tory Stratton in Black Sash in 2003. Missy also starred in the series Life as We Know It in 2004 and Reaper in 2007. She gained recognition as Haley Graham in the 2006 gymnastics film Stick It. Subsequently, she took on the role of police officer Andy McNally in ABC's prime-time drama Rookie Blue, which began airing in 2010.
