Natalia Guimaraes — Biography

Natalia Guimaraes, born on Christmas Day in 1984 in Juiz de Fora, a city in Brazil's Minas Gerais state, is a celebrated figure who once held the esteemed Miss Universe title for her country. Her victory on April 14, 2007, saw her emerge victorious over a field of more than 26 other hopefuls representing various Brazilian states and the Federal District, Brasília. Prior to this significant achievement, Guimaraes had also claimed the top spot at the 2006 Top Model of the World International Pageant. However, her commitment to the upcoming Miss Universe competition led her to relinquish the Top Model of the World crown, with her second-place competitor from the Philippines stepping in to assume the title.

The grand stage of the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant, held in Mexico City, Mexico, saw Guimaraes compete on May 28, 2007. She achieved a commendable position, finishing as the first runner-up in the prestigious event. Interestingly, in the aftermath of the Miss Universe competition, a Mexican television program engaged the public by asking their opinion on who should have won. Guimaraes captured a substantial portion of these public votes, earning nearly a third of the ballots cast. Later in her personal life, on August 8, 2013, Guimaraes, alongside her long-term partner Leandro Scornavacca, a musician associated with the group KLB, became the proud parents of twin daughters, named Maya and Kiara.
