Neringa Križiūtė is a Lithuanian painter and glamour model who trained in her craft at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Beginning in 2016, she has organized numerous individual exhibitions while also taking part in various collective shows throughout Lithuania and internationally. Her artistic practice functions as a personal chronicle, documenting observations that resonate with emotional experiences and particular moments in life. While drawn to thoughtful combinations of distinct visual elements, her pieces often lean toward abstract composition. She explores opposing forces with equal intensity, investigating contrasts between illumination and shadow, serenity and tension, and the interplay between presence and absence. Her work frequently examines the relationship between human-made structures and natural settings, often incorporating a subtle undercurrent of ironic sensibility. The paintings possess a timeless mythological dimension that remains simultaneously current and ancient, appearing to encapsulate modern feelings of unease, sadness and doubt.
