Rachel Griffiths — Biography
Australian talent Rachel Griffiths has carved out a notable career in acting and directing. Her performances as Brenda Chenowith in the critically acclaimed psychological black comedy-drama Six Feet Under and Sarah Walker Laurent in the family drama Brothers & Sisters are particularly memorable. Griffiths has a history of appearing nude on screen, with her first such instance occurring in the 1996 black comedy Children of the Revolution. This was followed by appearances in the 1996 period drama Jude and the 1996 thriller To Have and to Hold. She continued this trend in the 1997 drama My Son the Fanatic, the 1998 drama Among Giants which included full frontal and rear nudity, the 2000 romantic comedy Me Myself I, and the 2001 romantic comedy Blow Dry. More recent examples include the 2011 drama Burning Man, the 2016 drama Mammal, and a return to full frontal and rear nudity in the 2019 first season of the TV political drama Total Control. In a notable public demonstration in 1997, Griffiths appeared topless outside Melbourne's Crown Casino to protest its opening.
