Sara Rue — Biography
Born on January 26th, 1979, American actress Sara Rue has carved out a memorable presence on screen. Audiences recognize her for her portrayals of Carmen Ferrara in the show Popular, Claude Casey in Less than Perfect, and the Attorney General in the film Idiocracy. In 2011, Rue took on hosting duties for The CW's reality series Shedding for the Wedding. She was a familiar face in the comedy Rules of Engagement, where she depicted Brenda, a friend and softball companion to the character Jeff Bingham. Additionally, she held a regular spot as Kim in the brief ABC sitcom Malibu Country, and was part of the primary ensemble in the TV Land comedy series Impastor. Her work also includes the role of Olivia Caliban during the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events. More recently, Rue has appeared as a guest star on The Rookie, portraying LAPD dispatcher Nell Forester. It's worth noting that Rue previously collaborated with Nathan Fillion on the television adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events, where Fillion took on the role of Jacques Snicket, and Rue played Olivia Caliban, a librarian.
