Sarah Ferguson — Biography

Sarah Ferguson, affectionately known by the nickname Fergie, is a British author and a figure who, despite her royal connections, possesses a perspective often resonating with American sensibilities rather than strictly adhering to traditional British upper-class norms. Formerly Sarah, Duchess of York, she was married to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was then Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Prince Andrew is the second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and is the younger brother of the current monarch, King Charles III. Ferguson's background, while not from the titled aristocracy, has often been characterized by a spirit that doesn't neatly align with the established expectations of the British peerage.
