Shannon James — Biography

Born on February 5, 1987, in Holland, Pennsylvania, Shannon James achieved recognition as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for May 2007. Similar to Jillian Grace, who held the Miss March 2005 title, James's entry into the spotlight was facilitated by Howard Stern's show. A close friend, Lindsay Campbell, submitted a collection of Shannon's pictures, leading to an invitation for an appraisal. This evaluation paved the way for a test photoshoot. During this time, James was enrolled at the University of Central Florida and was an active member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. Her burgeoning modeling career has since led her to pursue her studies online. Beyond her Playboy feature, James has also graced Hooters billboards and their calendar, serving as the cover model for the May 2008 edition. She participated in the 2007 pageant as well. From December 18, 2007, the Hooters website urged patrons to vote for her as Playmate of the Year, though she ultimately did not win, with the announcement made on May 9, 2008, that Jayde Nicole received the honor.
