Shweta Konnur Menon — Biography

Shweta Konnur Menon, recognized professionally as Malavika, is an Indian performer primarily seen in Tamil cinema, with occasional appearances in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam productions during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Her ascent to prominence occurred at 19, marked by her inaugural role in the 1999 Tamil picture Unnai Thedi, a Sundar C. directed project co-starring Ajith Kumar. This film achieved significant commercial success. Malavika reunited with Ajith Kumar for the movie Anandha Poongatre. Her performance in Rojavanam solidified her standing as an actress, yielding three successful films in as many ventures. Despite the presence of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan, the film Pooparika Varugirom did not achieve box office success.
