Stacey Dash — Biography
Stacey Dash grew up in the Bronx, New York, where she developed her passion for acting at a young age and pursued the craft professionally. She gained early television experience through recurring roles on several popular shows including The Cosby Show beginning in 1984, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990, and St. Elsewhere from 1982. At age 21, Dash made her transition to feature films with Enemy Territory in 1987, followed by Moving the next year, where she portrayed the teenage daughter of Richard Pryor. In 1992 she appeared opposite Damon Wayans in Mo' Money, and three years later she shared the screen with Mark Wahlberg in Renaissance Man. Her career took a significant turn in 1995 when she first appeared in the erotic thriller Illegal in Blue and then secured her breakout role as Dionne in the widely successful comedy Clueless. This success led to a starring role in the television adaptation of Clueless on UPN, which ran for two seasons. During this period, she also completed work on Oliver Stone's Cold Around the Heart in 1997 and the indie film Personals in 1999. After her departure from the television series in 1999, Dash continued her career momentum with appearances in The Painting in 2001 and Paper Soldiers in 2002. By January 2026, her social media presence had grown substantially, with 333,000 followers on Instagram and 404,300 followers on TikTok.
