Talisa Soto — Biography

Talisa Soto, whose roots trace back to a Puerto Rican heritage, spent her formative years in both the bustling environment of Brooklyn and the distinct landscape of Massachusetts. Her journey into the public eye began at the tender age of fifteen when she embarked on a career in modeling. This path led her to grace the pages and covers of prominent fashion magazines such as "Vogue," "Mademoiselle," "Glamour," and "Self," and she also featured in a "Sports Illustrated" swimsuit edition. Transitioning her talents to the silver screen, Soto made her cinematic debut in 1988 with the film "Spike of Bensonhurst." She later achieved widespread recognition for her role as the alluring Lupe Lamora, a Bond girl, in the iconic 1989 James Bond installment, "Licence to Kill."
