Trisha Hershberger — Biography

Trisha Hershberger was born on September 15, 1982, in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, where her fascination with video games, technology, and do-it-yourself projects began to take shape. After her parents prohibited her from using gaming consoles, she took it upon herself to modify the family’s PC so that she could indulge in her passion for gaming. By November 2025, Trisha had garnered a significant online presence, amassing 201,000 followers on Instagram, 160,000 subscribers on YouTube, and 63,400 followers on Twitch. In 2002, she achieved the title of Miss Pennsylvania Coed Pageant winner. A theater major, Trisha pursued studies in the entertainment field, sharing that she appreciated being in the spotlight, stating, "I liked performing. I knew that I liked being public-facing." Additionally, she has a passion for cosplaying and pin-up modeling.

As she transitioned to her career in hosting and YouTube, Hershberger managed to merge her love for technology with her theatrical background after moving to Los Angeles, where she humorously said she "tripped and fell into YouTube." She launched her YouTube channel in August 2010, which initially bore the name "nerdychick5" but would later adopt her own name. On her channel, she shares vlogs and gaming content, particularly a former series called The Naked Truth, where she filmed herself vlogging while appearing nude, without makeup or filters. Alongside her YouTube and Facebook endeavors, Trisha engages with audiences as a streamer on Twitch. Furthermore, she runs her own production company, which has provided content for clients such as TwitchGaming and Amazon.

From 2012 to 2015, she became known to a wider audience as a host on SourceFed, a YouTube channel that focused on news and pop culture, which quickly drew in a substantial viewership, reaching one million subscribers within the next year. During her time at SourceFed, the channel was honored with multiple Streamy Awards, including the Audience Choice for Series of the Year in 2013. Trisha was also a founding member and host of its sister channel, SourceFed Nerd, which launched in May 2013 and centered on gaming and technology news. Hershberger frequently reported from various gaming and tech conventions, covering live events and growing her reputation in tech journalism. In 2014, she reported on Discovery's FinFest 2014 event during Shark Week, and later that year, she appeared on Hot Pepper Gaming to review the game Neverending Nightmares. In March 2015, FHM recognized her as part of a changing trend in their 100 Sexiest Women in the World list. The same month, she announced her departure from SourceFed, making a notable appearance in the channel's final episode of Table Talk in March 2017 before it ceased operations.
