Vivien Leigh — Biography

Vivien Leigh, known as Lady Olivier following 1947, was a prominent British actress. Her remarkable talent earned her two Academy Awards for Best Actress. Her first win came for her iconic portrayal of Scarlett O'Hara in the epic film Gone with the Wind. Years later, she secured her second Oscar for her searing performance as Blanche DuBois in the cinematic adaptation of A Streetcar Named Desire. Interestingly, Leigh had also brought the character of Blanche DuBois to life on the stage in London's West End, a production that took place in 1949.
