Willy Rey — Biography

Willy Rey, whose birth name was Wilhelmina Rietveld, originated from Rotterdam, Netherlands, and later became a prominent Dutch-Canadian model. She gained recognition as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in February 1971, with her iconic centerfold captured by photographer Mario Casilli. At the age of six, her family relocated from the Netherlands to Canada. Notably, her nude image was featured on the stock certificate of Playboy Enterprises during its Initial Public Offering on November 3, 1971. Tragically, Willy Rey passed away from an overdose of barbiturates in Vancouver on August 19, 1973, an incident that has been suggested may have been a suicide.
