À propos de Amy Dumas

Amy Christine Dumas, born on April 14, 1975, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is best recognized by her stage name, Lita. She gained fame as the lead vocalist of the band The Luchagors and as a retired American professional wrestler, having competed in WWE from 1999 to 2006. Dumas kicked off her wrestling career on the independent circuit and in Extreme Championship Wrestling, ultimately signing with the World Wrestling Federation in 1999. Initially, she teamed up with Essa Rios, but she found her most significant success as part of Team Xtreme alongside Matt and Jeff Hardy. Over the course of her wrestling career, she clinched the WWE Women’s Championship four times and became one of the most celebrated Divas in the company's history.

Dumas had an off-screen romance with Matt Hardy that ended in 2005, following her involvement with Adam "Edge" Copeland. This personal drama was woven into WWE storylines during 2005 and 2006, which resulted in Dumas experiencing her first negative fan reactions and transitioning to a villainous role on-screen. The situation also led to Hardy's temporary firing in 2005, although he was later rehired that same year. After retiring from wrestling in 2006, she and her then-boyfriend Shane Morton formed the punk rock group The Luchagors, releasing their debut album on September 11, 2007.

Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Dumas attended multiple schools and completed high school six months early. She studied Spanish for three years and later enrolled at Georgia State University, majoring in education. A skilled swimmer from a young age, she also competed in judo as an adult. Before her wrestling career, Dumas played bass guitar in a band called 3 Card Trick and served as a roadie for another band, Fifteen, for five years. Her interest in wrestling sparked after watching Rey Mysterio, Jr. perform on WCW Monday Nitro, prompting her to travel to Mexico in 1998 to learn the craft, which she funded by working as a dancer under the pseudonym Misty. During her training in Mexico, she learned from various wrestlers, including Kevin Quinn, Miguel Pérez, and Ricky Santana. After completing her training, she made appearances for the Empresa Mexicana de la Lucha Libre before returning to the United States to work as a valet on the independent circuit.

In Maryland Championship Wrestling, she adopted the ring name Angelica and managed Christopher Daniels. It was also where she first met the Hardy brothers, who offered her training. Dumas helped establish The Luchagors in the summer of 2006, making their live debut at a rock and wrestling event called Rock -N- Shock in September of that year. Notably, she wore a shirt featuring their band’s logo during her last match with WWE. Dumas was showcased in the June 2001 video and DVD release "Lita:
