Born Anamaría Tijoux Merino on June 12, 1977, this Chilean-French artist, recognized professionally as Ana Tijoux or Anita Tijoux, carved out her initial acclaim across Latin America. Her rise to prominence began in the latter half of the 1990s, where she established herself as the commanding MC for the hip hop ensemble Makiza.
