Anastacia Lyn Newkirk — Biography
Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, born on September 17th, 1968, is an American artist recognized for her contributions as a singer, songwriter, producer, and formerly as a dancer. Her initial musical output, the albums Not That Kind and Freak of Nature, arrived swiftly in 2000 and 2001, respectively, achieving significant acclaim. Driven by the enormous global success of her track "I'm Outta Love," Anastacia was honored in 2001 as the 'World's Best-Selling New Female Pop Artist.' Her chart presence persisted with subsequent international favorites like "Paid My Dues," "One Day In Your Life," and the anthem for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, "Boom." Following a period of recovery from illness, she re-emerged in 2004 with the album Anastacia. This record marked a stylistic shift towards pop-rock, departing from her prior work. The album reached the top position in eleven nations and became the second highest-selling album across Europe that year. Its leading single, "Left Outside Alone," commanded the European Billboard chart for fifteen weeks, contributing to Anastacia's groundbreaking European tour, the most successful by a solo artist that same year. The album also yielded three more singles: "Sick and Tired," "Welcome to My Truth," and "Heavy on My Heart."
