Anok Yai — Biography

Anok Yai, an Egyptian-born American fashion model with roots in South Sudan, holds a significant place in the modeling world. She is recognized as the second Black supermodel to follow in Naomi Campbell's footsteps and holds the distinction of being the first South Sudanese woman to kick off a Prada runway presentation. Currently, Anok is listed among the "Top 50" models according to models.com.

Her journey began in Cairo before her family relocated to Manchester, New Hampshire, when she was three years old. Her mother is a nurse, and her father is employed by Easterseals. Her sister, Alim, not only manages her career but also works as a financial consultant. Anok completed her secondary education at Manchester High School West and is currently pursuing a degree in biochemistry at Plymouth State University, with aspirations of becoming a doctor. As of October 2025, Anok has cultivated a substantial online following, with 3.1 million individuals following her on Instagram.
