À propos de Ashley Benson
Ashley Victoria Benson, born on December 18, 1989, is a talented American actress and model, renowned for her portrayal of 'Hanna Marin' in the suspenseful television series, Pretty Little Liars. Her acting repertoire also includes memorable roles such as 'Abigail Deveraux' in the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, 'Mia Torcoletti' in the supernatural series Eastwick, and 'Brit' in the 2012 crime thriller film Spring Breakers.
Benson’s artistic journey began remarkably early; she started competitive dance classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical at just four years old and began modeling for dance catalogs at five. By the age of eight, she was already affiliated with The Ford Modeling Agency, participating in print advertisements.
In 1999, she turned her attention to acting, appearing in a variety of commercials before transitioning to film and television. Benson secured a three-year contract with Days of Our Lives in 2004, debuting as Abigail "Abby" Deveraux on November 12 of that year. She portrayed the character, the daughter of iconic supercouple Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton, until May 2, 2007. The fast-paced nature of soap opera filming taught her the importance of memorizing lines, as she juggled recording multiple episodes each day. Beyond her soap opera work, she featured in a Lil' Romeo music video in 2002 and made a cameo in a March 2005 episode of Zoey 101. Her music video appearances include NLT's "That Girl," One Call's "BlackLight," and Hot Chelle Rae's "Honestly." Additionally, she played a witch disguised as a cheerleader in a 2008 episode of Supernatural.
Benson was also one of the Six Chicks in the 2004 film 13 Going on 30 and took on the role of Carson in 2007's Bring It On: In It to Win It, the fourth film in the Bring It On franchise. To accept this role, she had to leave Days of Our Lives, describing the transition to a film set as "definitely weird," as it involved longer shooting periods focused on just a scene or two, in stark contrast to the quick pace of soap operas. Despite her fear of heights, she embraced the challenges of cheerleading practice for the film and was pleased to perform her own stunts, though it proved more difficult than anticipated.
In 2008, she starred in the Lifetime original film Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, portraying the role of head cheerleader Brooke. The film, based on real events from McKinney North High School in Texas, allowed her to learn valuable acting lessons from her on-screen mother, Tatum O'Neal. Additionally, Benson enjoyed working on Bart Got a Room, which saw limited release in 2009 after participating in various film festivals.
