Born Brittany Jayne York on October 17, 1977, in the bustling metropolis of New York, New York, she would later be known as Autumn Austin. A significant shift in her young life occurred when, at the age of seven, she lost her mother. This event prompted Brittany and her father to relocate to Newport Beach, California. There, swimming became a central part of her existence, to the point where she seriously contemplated a future dedicated to the sport.

Her academic journey culminated in her graduation in 1995, after which she secured a swimming scholarship to attend Middlebury College in Vermont. However, in a turn of events that surprised many, Brittany declined this opportunity. Her aspirations had shifted towards becoming a dancer, and she set her sights on the Los Angeles area. She moved to Hollywood, but the reality of her situation quickly became stark; within months, she found herself without a home, living out of her car.

Her circumstances led her to a job at the Venus Strip Club in Van Nuys, California, a locale often referred to as the capital of the adult film industry. It was here that representatives from "Penthouse" magazine noticed the attractive blonde and extended an offer for a pictorial. Two years after this encounter, she embarked on her career in adult films. While Autumn generally favors dancing and participating in photo spreads, her work in adult cinema has proven financially rewarding.
