À propos de Catherine Bach
Catherine Bach, born Catherine Bachman on March 1, 1954, is an American performer recognized primarily for portraying Daisy Duke throughout the CBS television series The Dukes of Hazzard that ran from 1979 to 1985, as well as for her performance as Margo Dutton in the film African Skies. She entered the world in Cleveland, Ohio, as the child of Norma Jean Kucera, who worked as an acupuncturist and descended from Mexican heritage, and Bernard Bachman, a ranching professional of German background. The Verdugo family, prominent among California's earliest property-owning settlers, counts her among its descendants. Her formative years were spent on a ranch in South Dakota near her grandparents' home in Faith. Following her completion of secondary education at Stevens High School in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1970, she briefly pursued drama studies at UCLA while supplementing her finances through garment creation for acquaintances and theatrical organizations. Her initial cinema role came in the 1973 Burt Lancaster murder thriller The Midnight Man, filmed in upstate South Carolina, where she took on the part of slain college student Natalie Claiburn, with the picture arriving in theaters in June 1974. Subsequently, she was cast as Melody in the 1974 film Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. During 1985, she served as the face model for the figurehead adorning the schooner Californian. Her notably shapely gams were once valued at one million dollars for insurance purposes. She unveiled a diamond accessory collection at Debenhams in 2002. Four years later in 2004, she lent her voice to reprise her signature character Daisy Duke for The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee video game, which rekindled enthusiasm for the beloved 1979-1985 program. Additional television appearances in character include The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! in 1997 and The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood in 2000, both aired on CBS. She maintains an official web presence highlighting both her career and the series.
