Christa Speck — Biography

Christa Speck was born on August 1, 1942, in Danzig, Germany, which is now known as Gdańsk, Poland. She gained fame as a German model and actress and was prominently featured as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in September 1961. She also earned the title of Playmate of the Year in 1962, with her original spread captured by photographer Sam Wu. Later in life, she became the wife of children's television producer Marty Krofft. Speck's centerfold made a memorable appearance in the 1978 film Animal House, set in 1962. She passed away at her home in Los Angeles, California, on March 22, 2013, due to natural causes, at the age of 70. Notably, she was celebrated as a Playboy Playmate in September 1961.
