Coco Hayashi — Biography

Coco Hayashi's journey in entertainment began early, taking her first steps as a child performer under the banner of Space Craft Junior. During these formative years, she graced screens in various commercials and television projects. A pivotal moment arrived in 2017 when she triumphed in the "3rd Anisong Vocal Audition," a competition presented by Avex and 81 Produce. This victory paved the way for her induction into the musical group Run Girls, Run! Her initial foray into the world of anime was with the role of Ayumi Hayashi in Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter. She further solidified her standing in the anime realm by lending her voice to Mirai Momoyama in Kiratto Pri☆Chan. The 13th Seiyu Awards in 2019 saw a sixteen-year-old Coco earn the esteemed Best New Actress award, a testament to her burgeoning talent and her standout portrayal of Mirai Momoyama in Kiratto Pri☆Chan. In April 2023, she stepped into the shoes of Setsuna Yuki in "Love Live Nijigasaki High School," taking over the part from Tomori Kusunoki. This role also saw her become a member of the sub-unit A·ZU·NA, alongside fellow voice actresses Aguri Onishi and Kaori Maeda. Later in 2023, Coco Hayashi embraced a significant evolution in both her image and professional capacity. She joined the BanG Dream! multimedia franchise, taking on the dual role of voice actress and real-life drummer for the band MyGO!!!!!, portraying Taki Shiina. She performs in this capacity with bandmates Hina Yomiya, Rin Tateishi, Mika Kohinata, and Hina Aoki.
