Born on May 28, 1971, Ekaterina Alexandrovna Gordeeva, affectionately known as Katia, is a distinguished figure skater hailing from Russia. Her career in pair skating reached its zenith alongside her late husband and esteemed partner, Sergei Grinkov. Together, they achieved the pinnacle of the sport, securing Olympic gold medals in both 1988 and 1994. Their dominance extended to the World Championships, where they were crowned champions an impressive four times: in the years 1986, 1987, 1989, and 1990.
