Elysia Rotaru — Biography
Elysia Rotaru, a Canadian performer, is recognized for her portrayal of Taiana Venediktov in the acclaimed series Arrow. Born in Vancouver to parents of Romanian heritage, Rotaru possesses fluency in both English and Romanian. Her early life was marked by a passion for the arts, evident in her participation in dance classes, school theatrical productions, and piano performances. Although she initially pursued a degree in psychology at Simon Fraser University, she later transitioned her academic focus to theater, ultimately completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in Theater. Beyond her acting pursuits, Rotaru also explored the field of traditional Chinese medicine. Her acting journey commenced in 2008 with a guest appearance on the USA Network show Psych. Subsequent television roles included appearances on SyFy's Eureka and The CW's Smallville and Supernatural. In 2010, Rotaru secured a recurring part as Betsy in the series Hellcats. That same year, she also featured in the film Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, taking on the role of Ingrid.
