Erin Gray — Biography
Erin Gray became well-known for her role as Wilma Deering in the science fiction television series "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." At the age of eight, she relocated with her family from Hawaii to California, where she eventually graduated from Pacific Palisades High School. At just fifteen years old, a serendipitous encounter with Nina Blanchard, the head of a prominent modeling agency in Hollywood, set her on her path to stardom. After moving to New York City, she quickly rose to prominence as one of the most sought-after models of the era, standing alongside notable figures such as Farrah Fawcett, Veronica Hamel, and Susan Blakely. Viewers began to recognize her from various commercials, representing brands like Breck, Max Factor, Clairol, Camay Soap, and RC Cola. One of her most memorable advertisements featured her boldly stating, "My men wear English Leather--or they wear nothing at all!" in a spot for English Leather cologne.
