À propos de Fran Drescher

Fran Drescher, whose full name is Francine Joy Drescher, was born on September 30, 1957, in Queens, New York City, New York. She is the daughter of Sylvia Drescher, a bridal consultant, and Mort Drescher, a naval systems analyst. During her time at Hillcrest High School in New York, she was classmates with Ray Romano, who would also find fame. Fran was known to be a diligent student and was quite well-liked. At just fifteen, she met Peter Marc Jacobson, whom she believed would be her lifelong partner.

Her breakthrough came with a role in the iconic film Saturday Night Fever (1977), starring John Travolta. She continued to take on minor roles in various films until she conceived the idea for her hit television series The Nanny (1993) while visiting a friend in England. The show quickly became a sensation, propelling Fran's career to new heights. In addition to The Nanny, she starred in movies like The Beautician and the Beast (1997), which she also produced, and Picking Up the Pieces (2000), alongside Woody Allen.

Fran's marriage to Jacobson ended in divorce, but she has emerged as a cancer survivor and a role model for women around the world. As of January 2026, she boasts 1.7 million followers on Instagram.
