Iman — Biography

Born Zara Mohamed Abdulmajid and later known mononymously as Iman, this Somali–American figure is celebrated as both a model and an actress. Iman captivated the fashion world, serving as inspiration for design titans such as Gianni Versace, Thierry Mugler, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and Yves Saint Laurent. Beyond her modeling career, she is recognized for her dedicated philanthropic efforts. She shared her life with rock musician David Bowie, to whom she was married from 1992 until his passing in 2016. Their daughter is the American artist Alexandria Zahra Jones.
