À propos de Io Shirai
Masami Odate, known in the wrestling world as Iyo Sky, is a professional wrestler from Japan who is currently signed to WWE, competing on the Raw brand. She has made her mark as a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Dakota Kai. As of 2025, her accolades also include being a former holder of the Women's Money in the Bank contract, a former WWE Women's Champion, and a former Women's World Champion. Celebrated for her remarkable athleticism and exceptional skills in the ring, she is often regarded as one of the top female wrestlers globally.
Odate, who previously competed under the name Io Shirai in WWE's developmental brand NXT, enjoyed significant success there as well, holding the title of NXT Women's Champion and the NXT Women's Tag Team Champion in partnership with Zoey Stark. Prior to her WWE career, she performed in World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she claimed the World of Stardom Championship twice. Her achievements in Stardom also include two Wonder of Stardom Championships, six Artist of Stardom Championships, the inaugural SWA World Championship, and one Goddesses of Stardom Championship, along with one High Speed Championship, earning her the distinction of being the first Grand Slam Champion in the company’s history. Starred as the “ace” of Stardom, she garnered the Tokyo Sports Joshi Puroresu Grand Prize three consecutive times in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Her journey began in March 2007, when she teamed with her older sister, Mio Shirai, wrestling for various promotions in Japan and Mexico. In June 2010, the sisters collaborated with Kana (who later became Asuka) to create the stable known as Triple Tails, which lasted for 15 months until Io ventured into a solo career in Stardom. By April 2013, she captured Stardom’s top title, the World of Stardom Championship, and retained it for over a year in both of her reigns. After working with Stardom from 2011 to 2018, Odate joined WWE and made her debut in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament, reaching the finals but ultimately losing to Toni Storm.
Once assigned to NXT, she turned heel in 2019 and secured her first WWE championship by winning the NXT Women's Championship in June 2020. In July 2022, she debuted on WWE's main roster as Iyo Sky and joined Bayley’s Damage CTRL stable. In August 2023, she won the WWE Women's Championship after capturing the Money in the Bank contract. However, she lost the title to Bayley at WrestleMania XL in April 2024. In March 2025, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the Women's World Championship, thus becoming the tenth WWE Women’s Triple Crown Champion and the seventh WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion. Notably, she holds the title of being the first Japanese wrestler to achieve Grand
