Born Iryna Yakaltsevich on January 26, 1993, Iryna Zhuk is a Belarusian competitor known for her prowess in the pole vault. She has represented her nation on the global stage, participating in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, though she did not advance to the final round. A significant achievement in her career came in 2017 when she secured a gold medal at the Summer Universiade. Her top performances in the pole vault include clearing 4.72 meters outdoors, a mark set at the Championship of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk in 2020, and 4.65 meters indoors, achieved in competitions in Clermont-Ferrand and Glasgow during 2019.
