Jane Krakowski — Biography
Jane Krakowski, born October 11, 1968, in Parsippany, New Jersey, is an American actress whose career has seen her grace both the stages of Broadway and the silver screen. Her powerful performance as Carla in the 2003 Broadway musical Nine, alongside Antonio Banderas, earned her a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award. Krakowski also appeared in the 2004 remake of Alfie, starring Jude Law, and was slated to play Liza Minnelli in the biopic Simply Halston, with Alec Baldwin portraying the designer. Recent film work includes Pretty Persuasion (2005), When Zachary Beaver Came to Town (2003), Go (1999), The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000) where she played Betty Rubble, Dance with Me (1998), Mrs. Winterbourne (1996), Stepping Out (1991), Fatal Attraction (1987), and Vacation (1983).
On television, Krakowski garnered a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Elaine Vassal in Ally McBeal (1997). She was set to star in NBC's musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol with Kelsey Grammer.
