À propos de Joanne Latham

Joanne Latham, born on March 21, 1961 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, spent nine years studying classical ballet before earning a scholarship to the Royal Ballet School. A dancing competition resulted in a modelling opportunity with Miss Selfridge, which launched her into the wider modelling world and led to television commercial work.

She began her modelling career at age 16 with immediate recognition. Renowned glamour photographer Patrick Lichfield was so impressed following a photo session that he featured her image on the inside front cover of his book "The Most Beautiful Women." Her topless photographs appeared in the Daily Mirror starting in May 1978, and she made sixteen appearances on The Sun's Page 3 between April 1978 and June 1981. This growing prominence attracted significant international interest, with both Playboy and Penthouse competing for her involvement.

In 1979, Latham signed a contract worth £70,000 to appear in the tenth anniversary issue of Penthouse magazine. She was named Pet of the Month for September 1979 at age 18 and remained visible in publications throughout the 1980s. She appeared in numerous television advertisements in both Britain and the United States, and participated in the ATV/Central Television series England their England, featuring in an episode titled "A Model's Dream" about her modelling experiences. She also appeared on a television program alongside Tony Curtis and Frankie Valli.

Latham withdrew from modelling in 1982 following a severe crash diet in late 1981. She subsequently met Francois Trigano while vacationing in Spain, and they had a daughter named Blue together. After living in Paris, she returned to Wolverhampton when the relationship ended.

By 1999, she had become a yoga instructor at the Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Centre in Nassau, Bahamas. She studied drama at Birmingham's old Repertory Theatre and aspired to work with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Later career pursuits included promoting a spirituality clinic and reflexology services. She worked on developing Yoga and Natural Healing Centres throughout Britain, teaching yoga, writing her autobiography, and developing a thirteen-part television series. She considered relocating to California with her daughter.
