Latasha Marzolla — Biography

Born on August 21, 1979, LaTasha Marzolla is an American athlete known for her skills in mixed martial arts and kickboxing, currently competing in the Tuff-N-Uff Amateur Fighting Championships. Before her combat sports career, Marzolla was recognized as a former Playboy glamour model. Her athletic journey began in high school at Las Vegas High, where she was a member of the junior varsity wrestling team. A personal experience of her home being burglarized spurred her to seek out self-defense training, leading her to enroll in Muay Thai under the tutelage of Master Toddy.

Marzolla then ventured into professional full-contact kickboxing, joining the promotion K-1 under the ring name Venus. In kickboxing, she amassed a professional record of 9 wins and 3 losses. In 2004, she also explored a brief stint in professional wrestling, signing with WWE for training at Ohio Valley Wrestling. However, her time with the company was cut short due to injuries, leading to her release alongside fellow model Bobbi Billard. Marzolla was featured in the 2005 semi-documentary Ring Girls, alongside Gina Carano. The film chronicles the experiences of five women training under Muay Thai instructor Master Toddy and competing in both Las Vegas and Thailand.

Currently, Marzolla trains at the Throwdown Training Center in Las Vegas and previously worked with trainer Shawn Tompkins. Her mixed martial arts debut took place on May 30, 2009, at a Tuff-N-Uff event in Las Vegas, where she secured a victory against Christy Tada by corner stoppage at the conclusion of the first round. She later faced Kate McGray at Tuff-N-Uff on November 27, 2009, and then competed against Nikki Rae Lowe at Tuff-N-Uff Futer Stars of MMA on October 22, 2010. Unfortunately, Marzolla lost this bout via TKO in the first round after suffering an elbow dislocation. Her modeling career was also recognized with the "Playboy Special Editions - Model of the Year" award in 2004.
