Linda Faye Vaughn was born on August 11, 1943, in Dalton, Georgia, United States. Renowned in the world of motor racing, she has been celebrated as the "preeminent beauty queen of stock car racing" and affectionately referred to as "The First Lady of Motorsports." At the young age of 18, she earned the title of "Miss Queen of Speed" at Atlanta International Raceway and subsequently claimed the titles of "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter" and "queen of the 1961 Dixie 400." In recognition of her contributions to motorsport, she was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2019. It is important to note that she should not be confused with Linda Rhys Vaughn, who was the Playmate of the Month in April 1982.
