Lisa Renee Foiles is known for her work as an actress, a glamour model, and an internet presence. Her most recognized role was as a member of the cast on Nickelodeon's sketch comedy program, All That. She joined the show in 2002 as part of its revamped lineup, a Nickelodeon take on the format of Saturday Night Live. Foiles remained with All That for four seasons, until its conclusion in 2005. During this period, she also made guest appearances on various other television shows, including a notable role on Even Stevens. In 2003, she had a guest spot on Malcolm in the Middle, appearing in the fourth season episode "If Boys Were Girls" as Mallory, a female counterpart to the main character. Following this, Foiles took a hiatus from acting to focus on college studies, specifically in writing, graphic design, and video games. Her writing career began in 2009 when she started contributing articles to the gaming website Kotaku. She has spoken about how her passion for video games profoundly impacted her life, suggesting that her subsequent acting opportunities often stemmed from her engagement with the gaming world. Foiles returned to acting in 2010, taking on the role of Trina in an episode of the series Leverage. That same year, she also entered the field of video game journalism, appearing multiple times on The Angery Joe Show. In addition to her media work, she served as a production and graphic designer for several books published by Hungry Girl, two of which achieved recognition on The New York Times Best Seller list. During this time, she also joined the independent video game company Soma Games as a writer for their upcoming projects. She starred in the pilot episode of A. J. Locascio's Spike TV series Yesterday Tonight, which centered on the pop culture of the 1980s and '90s.
