Margaret Nolan was born a twin in Hampstead, London, to Irish parents. The family later moved to Waterford, in the Republic of Ireland, before returning to Hampstead in 1946, as her father worked as a clerk in the army. In the 1960s, Margaret gained visibility in the glamour photography scene, working with notable figures like Harrison Marks and Russell Gay. She was featured in a variety of magazines, including Kamera, QT, and Parade, and also participated in several 8mm films. Margaret adopted the stage name "Vicky Kennedy" during her second 8mm project; however, she eventually reverted back to her birth name and secured roles in feature films, most notably in the James Bond classic Goldfinger, where she appeared as the iconic gold-painted figure in the opening credits and as Dink. She is perhaps best recognized for her performances in six films of the "Carry On..." series, along with numerous television appearances throughout her career. Margaret concluded her acting pursuits in the late 1980s.
