Maya Ali — Biography

Maya Ali is a celebrated Pakistani performer, recognized for her contributions to Urdu cinema and television dramas. Her career has been distinguished by numerous honors, including a Lux Style Award and three Hum Awards.

Ali's journey in television began with a supporting part in the popular telenovela Durr-e-Shehwar. She later captivated audiences as the lead in the lighthearted romance Aun Zara in 2013, and subsequently portrayed a character observing Islamic traditions in the poignant social drama Shanakhat in 2014. A pivotal moment in her career arrived with the immensely successful romance Mann Mayal in 2016. Her performance in this series garnered her the prestigious Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress. Prior to this breakthrough, Ali garnered significant acclaim for her portrayal of Zuleikha in the romantic drama Mera Naam Yousuf Hai and for her role in the captivating family saga Diyar-e-Dil, both released in 2015. The latter production also secured her a nomination for the Lux Style Award for Best Television Actress.

Transitioning to the silver screen, Ali starred in the successful romantic comedies Teefa in Trouble (2018) and Parey Hut Love (2019). Both films have achieved remarkable commercial success, standing as some of the highest-grossing Pakistani films to date. Parey Hut Love, in particular, earned her two nominations at the Lux Style Awards. After a five-year absence from television, Ali made a highly anticipated return with the romantic drama Pehli Si Muhabbat.
