Michelle Keegan is known for her role as Tina McIntyre on the long-running soap Coronation Street. Originally from Stockport, Keegan experienced her parents' separation at age 13, after which she lived with her mother and her new stepfather. She completed her secondary education at St Patrick's RC High School before pursuing drama training at the Manchester School of Acting. Prior to her acting career, Keegan held various jobs including a position at Selfridges within the Trafford Centre and work as a check-in agent serving passengers at Manchester Airport. She made a brief appearance in the Red Dwarf: Back to Earth episode. In late 2007, during only her second audition ever, she secured the role of Tina McIntyre on Coronation Street. On 14 June 2009, she made her radio debut as a co-presenter of the BBC Radio 1 show The Official Chart alongside Reggie Yates. The actress graced the cover of FHM Magazine in January 2011 and ranked at number 30 in the FHM 100 Sexiest Women rankings from 2010. That same year, she served as a guest judge for the Dancing on Ice Tour 2010. Keegan's personal relationships have included actor Anthony Quinlan from Hollyoaks between 2006 and 2008, followed by model Brad Howard from 2008 to 2010, and actor Max George of The Wanted from 2010 to 2013. She currently resides in Essex and has built a significant social media presence, with 7.5 million Instagram followers as of June 2025.
