Minnie Driver — Biography

Born Amelia Fiona Jessica Driver on January 31, 1970, Minnie Driver is a multifaceted talent, celebrated as both a British and American actress and a singer-songwriter. Her ascent to wider recognition began with a pivotal performance in the 1995 film Circle of Friends. Driver's career has since spanned a diverse cinematic landscape, featuring roles in the beloved cult hit Grosse Pointe Blank, Gus Van Sant's critically acclaimed Good Will Hunting, a role that garnered her nominations for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She also graced the screen in the musical adaptation The Phantom of the Opera, the drama Owning Mahowny, and lent her distinctive voice to the character of Lady Eboshi in Hayao Miyazaki's animated masterpiece, Princess Mononoke.
