Molly Yeh — Biography

Molly Yeh, celebrated for her engaging presence as the host of Food Network's Girl Meets Farm, achieved widespread recognition following the release of her memoir, Molly On The Range: Recipes and Stories from an Unlikely Life on a Farm. The New York Times recognized her book as a prominent fall release in 2016, and it garnered the "Judge’s Award" from the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP). NPR also acknowledged its merit by including it among their "Great Reads of 2016." In March 2018, Yeh expanded her culinary output with Yogurt by Short Stack Editions, a collection focusing on a versatile ingredient she humorously labels "the duct tape of food." Her online presence is anchored by the lifestyle food blog, www.mynameisyeh.com, which has earned accolades such as "Food Blog of the Year" from both Saveur and Yahoo. Yeh's contributions have graced publications including the New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, and New York Magazine, with further writings appearing in Vanity Fair, Saveur, Condé Nast Traveler, Food52, and The Jewish Daily Forward. Her achievements were further highlighted by her inclusion on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list for 2017 and Apartment Therapy’s 10 under 40 list. Beyond her culinary endeavors, Yeh possesses a background as a Juilliard-trained percussionist. Her musical talents have led her to perform with orchestras globally, in off-Broadway productions, and as the glockenspielist for the band San Fermin. She currently resides on a farm situated on the North Dakota-Minnesota border with her husband, a fifth-generation farmer, and their small flock of chickens. Yeh is a recipient of the James Beard Award for Outstanding Personality and a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Host. She is an alumna of Juilliard and Glenbrook South High School.
