Peyton Roi List — Biography
Peyton Roi List began her entertainment career as a child model in the early 2000s. She appeared on the cover of American Girl's 2009 Back to School issue and modeled for Justice magazine in 2011, while also participating in over 400 advertisements for various brands. Her acting career started with television work, including an uncredited soap opera appearance on As the World Turns in 2002 and a role on All My Children in 2004. That same year, she had an uncredited cameo in Spider-Man 2. Her film debut came in 2008 when she played the younger version of the lead character in 27 Dresses, a commercially successful film.
Between 2010 and 2015, List expanded her film and television presence significantly. She appeared alongside Robert Pattinson in Remember Me and joined Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice. She became well-known for playing Holly Hills in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid film series starting in 2011, reprising the role across multiple installments and winning a Young Artist Award with her ensemble cast. That same year, she was cast as Emma Ross on the Disney Channel series Jessie, which became her most prominent role at that time and ran for four seasons until 2015. She continued the character on the spinoff series Bunk'd beginning in 2015 and made guest appearances on other Disney Channel programs.
From 2016 onward, List transitioned toward more mainstream work. She appeared in the YouTube Premium film The Thinning with Logan Paul and reprised the role in its sequel. She joined the cast of the supernatural web series Light as a Feather on Hulu in 2018 and made her music debut that year. She began voicing Batgirl in the 2019 superhero film Batman: Hush and was cast as Tory Nichols in the YouTube Premium series Cobra Kai starting in season two. Her recent work includes appearances in Valley Girl, Hubie Halloween, and Paper Spiders. In 2022, she was cast in the lead role of the Paramount+ series School Spirits, which premiered in 2023.
