Rina Sawayama — Biography

Born in Niigata, Japan, Rina Sawayama, who also goes by the Japanese name サワヤマ リナ, established herself as a multifaceted artist, excelling as a singer, actress, and model. At the young age of five, she relocated to London with her family. Her independent musical journey began in 2017 with the self-release of her first extended play, Rina. Later, in 2020, she joined the Dirty Hit label, leading to the critically lauded release of her debut studio album, Sawayama. Her subsequent studio album, Hold the Girl, arrived on September 16, 2022. Beyond her celebrated musical adaptability, Sawayama has lent her image to various fashion advertisements and ventured into acting, making her cinematic debut in the 2023 action film John Wick: Chapter 4.
